Prints
It's all about the print. When you order a fine art print from Michael Kish Photography you can expect excellent quality and a print sure to last for years to come.
Most of my images have been cropped for compositional purposes. Cropping the image changes the final print dimensions. A large number of my images don't fall into "normal" print sizes (8x10, 11x14, etc.), so I have developed a custom print sizing format to match my style of photography. All prints will have at least a 1/2 inch white border around them.
For a true photographic feel, all of my fine art prints are made using the latest in digital printing technology. I use Epson printers with the UltrachromeK3 ink set for all of my work. Paper type will vary from one print to the next with the print dictating which paper to be used. Most images are printed on either Epson Ultra Premium Luster, Epson Exhibition Fiber, and Hahnemule Fine Art Pearl. Photographs are printed with approximately a half-inch border for safe handling and easy matting and framing.
It's highly recommended that you have your prints professionally framed behind UV protected glass. Also avoid hanging your print in direct sunlight.
Each image is personally edited by me. Corrections such as color and contrast are made in Photoshop CS5. In the age of digital it's important to state that none of my images have been altered in such a way that would undermine the creative process.
Each image is sized and sharpened based on the print size. Each print is hand signed by me. Great care is taken when shipping your prints. Each print is packaged between layers of cardboard for safe shipping. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. Due to the nature of my profession there are times when I'll be in the field. If I'm expecting any delay in shipping your print I will contact you as soon as I can.
